  Bethel Bus Trips

  has anyone been on a bethel bus trip?.

  it was very popular to send your kids on one for a graduation present.. the retired ones would take fly/bus trips to branches in europe.. blithe.

  Prince Valiant ?

  picked up the comics off the coffee table this afternoon and "prince valient " caught my eye.. does anyone follow this comic strip?.

  what's with this story line?.

  too long have val....been far from camelot...... val's first business is to announce a wonderous envoy.... ...while nathan & gawain introduce nudder,bup,& ig to a group of leery knights.

  There is the table cloth , pretty plates & wine glasses to provide.

  I once got to provide the cloth, but ironing was held off for a special privalage for someone else.

  I have no clue who decides what, seemed to be run by an elders wife.

  I think I was chosen because I owned a linen tablecloth.

  How Long Have you Been Out of the Witnesses ? Have you Moved On ?

  i have been out over 5 years now.

  i feel we all start healing at different speeds depending on how much hurt we went through in exiting ; and how much we've educated ourselves about how and why we were sucked in by a mind control cult.

  at first i felt anger towards the organization , but after learning about mind control within 3 years of leaving the cult i felt sorry for those who are still trapped inside the witnesses being deceived.

  I started my exit 11 years ago.

  My brain clicked on at my baptism.The Father, Son , & Org. statement did it.I went under screeming in my head "No, forgive me Jehovah!"

  I spent 18 months slowly being sickened & angry at meetings , dropped from tms &service.

  Then took advantage of a situation to stop meetings, assemblies & conventions, but continued to rage inside.

  Several years later I was brought to a JC, knew enough to keep my mouth shut or be labled apostate.

  I was relieved to have it over with, going through the JC enlightened me in how wrong they were in everything, my anger ebbed.

  I was still LUI (living under the influence) , family leaving slowly.

  The end of last summer began research that has brought almost all of us out the cults influence. We are a just a normal american family now.

  I read for about 3 weeks on the internet, Here,Freeminds, Silent Lambs, following links devowering it all from Christian sites to Athiest blogs to the morphing green lizard people stuff. Then I read CoC, the next week In Search of Christian Freedom, the following week I was off to an EX Witness for Jesus convention.

  I plan to read Steve Hassan soon , I have 1 child left in the cult, but lives at a distance so we have been able to move on because of the distance.

  Attending the convention & excepting Christ healed me.

  Oh, I first studied 28 years ago but after some bad experiences didn't "Progress" after the first year. LUI till taking it up again, cult influence at work.For my family the bad experiences were at least short lived and so somewhat easier to recover from . We had a before JW life to fall back to.

  It will be hard for my remaining child, married into the cult with !@#$ inlaws.

  ...While Nathan & Gawain introduce Nudder,Bup,& Ig to a group of leery Knights."Though beastly in appearance, these gallants offer us courageous service...

  Gawain notices that the weed men's attention has again wandered. He follows their fixed gazes and , rogue that he is, immediatly understands.

  They have sighted a flock of comely court attandants-obviously, such are fair game for bachelors deprived of female companionship..... Gawain fears there will be aggressive courting.

  I googled , this is america's great contribution to the legend! Really sad thought , but it does have me wanting a paper next week. I can't wait to see Nudder, bup, & Ig's aggressive courting. You need to see the pictures! LOL

  Two locals sat in a southern tavern talking over beers.

  Suddenly there was a comotion at a nearby table.A woman was choking.

  Billy Bob jumps up and asks the woman can she speak?

  No she nods .

  Then he asks can you breathe?

  Again she nods no.

  Then Billy Bob spins her around , lifts her skirt, pulls down her drawers, and gives her right cheek a big lick!

  In shock the woman spews out a piece of food and begins to breathe.

  When Billy Bob rejoins his friend at the bar, his buddy is much impressed and asks how he learned to do that.

  He replies (must insert southern accent) "I didn't they were just talking about the Hine Lick manuver on the news last night"
